What’s a dual compound you ask These tires have a tread area which is divided into three sections. First is a smooth center with a hard rubber compound for longer tread life and greater responsiveness because the tread is more rigid. Two side treads are made of a soft rubber compound for enhanced grip on both dry and wet surfaces and to safely enable maximum lean angles. The higher silica content in the Pure SC tires makes them stick better in wet weather–which is always good just in case you get caught in the rain. They’re a piece of cake to put on and are also available in radial ply.
