The Mango Tree Collection is a true example of the green utilization of resources. Mango groves in Thailand are constantly recycled with trees reaching the end of their fruit production life cycle in 10-15 years. At that point the trees are harvested for their wood and new trees are planted. That wood by-product is the raw material for our producer at Chiang Mai in northwest Thailand. The mango wood is hand turned by artisans and dried in kilns fueled by mango wood shavings.The process results in a responsible utilization of wood secondary to the fruit production.
