My son is 46quot; tall and is able to get on the bike and pedal with some stretching. His hands are big so he can use the hand brakes. Training wheels as this is his first big boy bike. He had a big wheel before so he knows how to pedal and make turns. Turns easily and maneuvers well. I admit that the assembly took 2 hours but I read slowly and carefully so I didn#39;t make a mistake and still had to redo some steps. You do need tools to do this and wrench sets too are required.
