It allows for cool air to flow through the bottom warm it with its heating element and silently release it as it rises out of the top. When set to the lowest setting on the thermostat it will maintain a temperature above freezing. In addition the CNS 150-2 E has the ability to be wired together with other similar models including itself to work together and be controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat.
